There are so many benefits to living in a housing cooperative but one of the biggest pros is the meal plan. Each student that is part of the meal plan program contributes 3 hours of kitchen duties per week in exchange for their weekly meals. Our houses are divided into two types: meal-plan, and non-meal plan options. We have a total of 129 rooms available under the meal plan program, so you can stop stressing about what you’re going to eat and save time too! We also have a smaller option for those living in the non-meal plan houses. See our options listed below.

The meal plan is mandatory for students living in the meal plan houses and is available as an option for students living in non-meal plan houses. We have 129 rooms available under the meal plan program.
The menu varies every week, but we always strive to serve a variety of healthy, flavourful and filling meals. There are multiple options available at each meal so you are certain to find something you enjoy!
The full-time kitchen coordinator, Thomas Brabant, plans the menus, organizes recipes, and ensures that there are numerous options available for members at every meal.
You can find a sample weekly menu here.
All meals are served in the main dining hall at 397 Brock St.
Our Meal Plan program provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Monday through Thursday and breakfast and lunch on Friday. On weekends, brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday.
Please see all the options for the meal plan above.
Each meal plan member has a mandatory 3 hours of kitchen duties each week and meal plan members who are also House Managers have a mandatory 1.5 hours of kitchen duties each week.
If you don’t like to cook, don’t worry! There are numerous duties available in the kitchen. Kitchen duties range from cooking to dishwashing, to serving.
While the meal plan meals are only served in the dining hall, pantry staples such as flour, milk, and bread, are available to your house each week.
Members will be assigned a duty based on their schedule, and a new kitchen schedule is made at the beginning of each term.
Living in a meal plan house is not for everyone. If you have special dietary concerns please understand that we may not be able to accommodate you. Please understand that if you accept a room in a meal plan house that you will not receive discounted meal plan fees due to personal dietary requirements.
Yes, “Partial Plan” is available for non-meal plan students and allows you to eat in the dining hall for 10 meals per term.
